Wrapping up the tour in style, England secured victory against South Africa in the final T20 match after chasing down 222 to win at SuperSport Park.

In what had been an enthralling few months of cricket, the three-match series proved to be a fantastic advert for the game and an ideal way to conclude an incredible tour of the Rainbow Nation.

Following a fantastic 3-1 win in the Test series, it has taught the England side a huge amount about themselves, hopefully providing strong building blocks for future Tests and of course, the Ashes.

In what was a famous victory for Root's men, they were supported throughout by our Barmy Army members. The tour saw members compete in some fantastic exhibition matches, explore the sights and sounds of South Africa, as well as being joined by some new Barmy Army faces including comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett.

This fantastic tour on the whole, was an incredible experience for all to enjoy despite having to wave goodbye to our famous trumpeter, Billy!

There is now little time for Root and his men to prepare for the next challenge in Sri Lanka. The sub-continent is guaranteed to serve up some very different challenges for England. However, this England team will no doubt fancy their chances of picking up back-to-back series victories and the Barmy Army will be there to help them do just that.

Watch the video below for a full recap on what went on over Christmas and New Year and we look forward to seeing you in Sri Lanka!
