We know that these are uncertain times right now, and many recent cricket events we operate travel packages for have been affected. We don’t know when the virus will pass completely or when crowds can return to sport, but we are here to reassure you that when the time is right for cricket and travel to return we are the best-placed company for you to see England play live. Whilst, like you, we are disappointed that events have had to be cancelled, nothing is more important to us than the health, safety, and wellbeing of our customers and staff and our thoughts are with all those who have been affected during this challenging time.
Along with the thousands of incredible England cricket fans we look after every year, we love and miss live cricket and can't wait to see crowds return to the game. We are busy working with all of the organisers, suppliers, and organisations around the globe involved in the cricket events affected. We are busy planning for the return of travel and events and we hope to see you on future events and rescheduled fixtures in the not too distant future.
All customers that had purchased packages to affected cricket events were notified promptly and where customers requested a refund these were processed within the legal requirement of 14 days. We have provided all customers with Refund Credit Notes (further explanation on these below) which are a new process endorsed and encouraged by ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) and the Government via its ATOL (Air Traffic Operators License) scheme to ensure your money stays protected whilst waiting to see what rescheduling of events looks like. We would love for you to keep your booking with us in the form of a refund credit note whilst you wait for the new dates on your affected trip, or perhaps to consider an alternative trip with us.

We are a Member of ABTA which means you have the benefit of ABTA’s assistance and the assurance that we commit to abide by the ABTA Code of Conduct. All the package and Flight-Plus holidays we sell are covered by a scheme protecting your money if the supplier fails. Other services such as hotels or flights on their own may not be protected and you should ask us what protection is available. Our ABTA Number is V8321.
We are also members of the International Air Transport Association (IATA 91201670) and hold an Air Travel Operators Licence (ATOL 3720). You will receive an ATOL certificate with your booking confirmation where the package you have purchased includes a flight. Most of our products are protected under the Package Travel Regulations and this along with the membership of these professional bodies guarantee our standards of trading practice and give you financial security.

At a time where the travel industry has faced a crisis, ABTA put in place a process to ensure that customers' money was protected whilst bookings changed and tour operators struggled with the ability to refund customers within the legal 14-day window. Barmy Travel has refunded all customers that have requested their refund within the 14-day window even with the new process in place. When accepting the RCN a cash refund still remains an option for you until the 31st January 2021 for non-flight inclusive packages, and 30th September 2021 for flight-inclusive packages when the RCNs expire and you will be automatically refunded but if you are considering re-booking in that time the RCN gives you that opportunity.
Is there an expiry date to use my Refund Credit note?
Yes, there is, and this is dependant on whether your package booked with us included flights or not:
We will contact you in advance of this and if you have not used your RCN by this point you are eligible for a refund of your money on or before this date. As soon as the rescheduled event is available we will contact you and offer you the opportunity to book. If you book a trip of a lesser value than the RCN you can either use that credit to make another booking or receive a refund of the difference. If your new booking is of a higher value than the RCN you will be required to pay the difference.

If the event is cancelled and we have to cancel your package, you will be entitled to a refund of monies paid to us.
We take great pride in offering our customers fantastic service and fulfilling bucket list dreams. Whilst the cancellation of sporting events has meant we haven’t been able to be at fantastic events this year, we have worked hard to maintain our fantastic service levels and our feedback attests to that. We have adapted quickly to the new industry processes and put in place new procedures that weren’t there before. We are aware that sometimes these need some explanation so we have created a list of FAQ’s for you. You can book with us in confidence that your booking will be protected and if the events are cancelled or postponed then you are entitled to a refund of your money in full.
